Every Neztly play sofa comes in either corduroy or velvet. Underneath, they are the same: the same high-density foam core, the same Junior-size pieces, and the same removable, machine-washable covers with hidden zippers. So the choice comes down to how the fabric looks and feels, and how it copes with daily life in your home.

Choose corduroy if…
- You have a toddler, or more than one child, and the sofa will see snacks, crayons and muddy feet.
- You want it to look tidy between washes. The ribbed texture hides the small marks that show on a smooth fabric.
- You like a relaxed, natural look. The warm corduroy colours sit easily in most homes.
Choose velvet if…
- The sofa will live in your living room and you want it to look like furniture.
- You like a smoother, richer finish. Velvet catches the light and photographs beautifully.
- You don’t mind putting the covers through the wash a little more often to keep it looking its best.
A note on colour
Our Pine Green velvet is a soft, light green, closer to mint than a dark forest green, so check the product photos to see the shade. If you want a dark, earthy green, look at Mossy Cozy corduroy.
Can I mix the two?
Yes. Colours can be mixed and matched across both the corduroy and velvet ranges. Some families choose a neutral base, such as Sandy Snuggle or Storm Grey, with one or two accent pieces in a brighter colour. For a combination that isn’t listed, contact us before you order.
Questions
Which fabric is more durable?
Both are made for everyday play and share the same foam core. The practical difference is appearance: corduroy hides marks better between washes, while velvet looks smoother.
Can both be washed?
Yes. Every cover on every piece, corduroy and velvet, unzips and can be machine washed on a cold, gentle cycle.
Which is better for a toddler?
Many parents of toddlers choose corduroy because it hides everyday marks. Velvet works just as well if you’re happy to wash the covers more often.
